As to It, you're talking about one of my all time favorite books. I read my first copy twice and it fell apart. Now I have another.
I was thinking when I typed that that times change and readers aren't so patient now as they used to be. I suppose it would have been nice if I'd actually said so.

As for impatient readers, you're absolutely right. Readers now want to meet the sparkly vampire in the first few pages.
